We are currently living in an amazing time with more possibilities than ever before. All thanks to one single thing which has opened up a limitless range of almost unimaginable opportunities for each and every one of us. However, not everybody seems to be aware of it. The “thing” that I am talking about has become such a part of our daily lives that we do not see the power of it anymore. I guess you know what it is I’m talking about right? I mean, it’s right there in the title. Anyway…
The internet is more than a door for entertainment and knowledge. It is also a door that can lead you towards your dreams. When I wrote the title “Your Gateway to Become Anything You Want”, I wasn’t exaggerating. The internet is a gateway to endless possibilities and you are free to seek them out and grasp them.
Let me make it a bit clearer exactly what I mean by giving you some examples. Let’s say you want to be a taxi driver: there is Uber. Let’s say you want to open up a bed & breakfast place: there is Airbnb. Let’s say you want to be a language teacher: there is Italki. Let’s say you want to be an actor: there is YouTube. Let’s say you want to be a musician: there is CD Baby. Let’s say you want to be a writer: there is Amazon where you can publish your own books. Let’s say you want to be a freelancer in all manner of different fields: there is UpWork. Let’s say you want to open up your own restaurant: there is EatWith. Let’s say you want to be… I guess you get the point by now. I could go on and fill this article with a hundred more opportunities and there are a thousands more that I am not even aware of myself and a million more coming out each day.
That’s why I am laying this out here. You have more options then you might realize. The real problem we are facing is not a lack of opportunities, but a lack of awareness of those opportunities – a lack of understanding what a resource the internet can be. However, though the internet gives countless possibilities and opportunities, they don’t just come without you having to do something. The reason I am pointing this out is because the internet is a noisy, busy and crowded place, just like the world. Creating your dreams with it also requires hard work and determination. While this might sound obvious to some, it doesn’t for a lot of others. Many people have called me lucky for doing what I am doing, but precisely zero amount of luck was involved.
