– The IPS Tribe Program – Finding a Path Through Suicidal Thoughts (3 Days) –
This 3-Day program is held over weekends and focuses specifically on men who are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Built around the principles of no judgment, purpose & belonging, and brotherhood, we will venture through the rural wilds of nature, taking part on an extraordinary adventure.
Together, a small group of comrades, all wearing similar scars, and accompanied by Jellis Vaes – a world traveler, photographer & writer, and founder of Inner Picture Stories, we will live, work and survive together as a tribe.
While witnessing the beauty of this world, the companionship of like-minded brothers, and the learning of techniques, practices and teachings of the mind and our emotions, wounds and current battles will be brought to peace.
You are at the brink of taking part in a life-changing experience.

No Judgment: We do not judge anyone. No scars, no wounds. We all had our battles in life, and we all have current conflicts going on. We listen without judgment and respond with the intention to help.
Purpose & Belonging: Everyone in the IPS Tribe is of actual value. An essential part, given a particular task – a goal, one that will be of crucial importance for the survival of each other, and of the tribe as a whole.
Brotherhood: We look after each other as friends, comrades, family. We are brothers among each other. We do not deceive any other member, and we don’t leave anyone behind.
We will venture into the wilds in the South of Belgium, surrounded by kilometers of magnificent, thick forests and stunning landscapes.

Why should I join? Who is the IPS Tribe Program aimed at?
The IPS Tribe Program is currently focused solely on men, struggling with loneliness, depression, suicide, or the mix of all three together (don’t worry it won’t be a sad bummer).
This program can be of enormous help to anyone feeling stuck, unhappy, imprisoned, or simply that they are walking around in a circle in their life. What will be demonstrated in the IPS Tribe Program are principles and practices you can directly start applying in your life during, and after the program.
Taught by the instructor Jellis Vaes who suffered from loneliness and suicide for many years himself.
In this three day program, you will learn these tools, techniques, and practices in the most healing environment – nature. Together in a group of warm-hearted people, wearing similar scars and going through familiar battles, under the guidance of someone who understands the pain of loneliness, depression, and suicide, and who has found his way through them.
Are you planning on doing these in other parts of the world?
In time, the plan is definitely to take the IPS Tribe Program around the globe.
For six years I struggled with deeply embedded feelings of loneliness and suicide, leaving me on the very edge of taking my own life.
What freed me was this world, and the words of wisdom about my own emotions and mind that I started to learn when I left home to travel that world at the age of 18.
Inner Picture Stories was formed out of my struggles. Initially, it was the platform I wished had been there for me during my time of darkness.
While I am no therapist, psychologist, life coach, guru, healer, etc. I am a person who lived and suffered intensely from loneliness and suicidal feelings, yet survived, and managed to make my way out of the darkness, seeing life as the blessing it very much can be to everyone.
My journeys around the world, meeting various teachers, and my own self exploration has allowed me to learn practices of mindfulness and an understanding of my emotions where many of our pain points in life come from.
Problems and difficulties will always be a part of life. Suffering, however, is optional once you start understanding the deeper roots within yourself, and the vast, incredible beauty of the world. Two pillars we will come to experience, learn, and see in The IPS Tribe Program.
Inner Picture Stories and the IPS Tribe program are built out of my deep love for those standing on the edge of taking their own life or suffering from loneliness or depression. Feelings that I experienced way too long, holding me back from living and experiencing life fully, to almost not at all.
My life mission is to help anyone away from that edge, and simply show and share teachings, tools, and practices that could potentially let you breathe and smile while walking your way out of the darkness.
